Job Title: Leveraged Finance LawyerPractice Area: Banking & FinanceLocation: LondonAbout the RoleWe are seeking an ambitious and highly skilled mid-level leveraged finance lawyer to join a market-leading global law firm based in London. This role offers the opportunity to work on some of the most high-profile and complex transactions across the UK, Europe, and globally.As part of a dynamic and collaborative team, you will advise on a range of leveraged finance matters, including syndicated lending, acquisition financing, private equity-backed transactions, and complex cross-border financing structures. The team is a key player in the market, frequently representing top-tier banks, alternative lenders, private equity sponsors, and corporate borrowers.Key Responsibilities:

  • Advise clients on all aspects of leveraged finance, including senior, mezzanine, and unitranche loans.
  • Draft and negotiate transaction documents such as facility agreements, intercreditor agreements, and security documentation.
  • Support on cross-border financings, working closely with international offices and local counsel.
  • Actively engage with clients to provide commercially focused advice, building and maintaining strong relationships.
  • Manage junior associates and trainees on deal processes, ensuring efficiency and quality.
  • Assist in business development initiatives, including pitches, client presentations, and legal research.

Key Requirements:

  • 2-5 years' post-qualification experience (PQE) gained at a top-tier law firm in leveraged finance.
  • Strong technical knowledge of loan structures, syndicated finance, and market trends.
  • Proven experience working on high-value and complex transactions.
  • Exceptional drafting, negotiation, and analytical skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple work streams under tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • A client-focused, proactive approach with excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • England & Wales qualification preferred; equivalent international qualifications will be considered.
