The RoleThe successful candidate will play a key role in advising on and drafting construction documents for major infrastructure and energy projects, including EPC contracts, development agreements, and professional appointments. The role involves delivering strategic solutions for high-profile clients across renewable energy, transport, and large-scale real estate developments.

Key Responsibilities

  • Drafting and negotiating key construction agreements, including JCT and NEC contracts.
  • Advising on procurement strategies, risk mitigation, and project delivery mechanisms.
  • Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams on complex projects across sectors.
  • Supporting clients throughout the development lifecycle, from inception to completion.
  • Contributing to business development to enhance the firm's construction law offering.

Candidate Profile

  • 3-5 years' PQE in non-contentious construction law, ideally gained at a leading firm or in-house.
  • Strong experience with JCT, NEC, and other construction contract forms.
  • Commercially astute, with a proactive and pragmatic approach to client needs.
  • Excellent drafting, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • A team-oriented mindset with the ability to work collaboratively across departments.
