A renowned law firm in Central London is seeking a talented Private Client Associate with 3-6 years PQE to join their dynamic and market-leading Private Client team, which is part of the Corporate department. This is an excellent opportunity to work with an entrepreneurial client base, including high-net-worth (HNW) and ultra-high-net-worth (UHNW) individuals, families, and business owners, many with complex personal and business interests across the globe.



The Private Client Associate's Role.

As a Private Client Associate, you will provide innovative tax and estate planning advice to UK and international clients. You will advise on a range of tax planning matters and manage client files under partner supervision. You will work closely with various departments, including real estate, corporate, and dispute resolution, to deliver holistic solutions for clients with both domestic and cross-border concerns.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Drafting tailored tax advice for clients, including cross-border structuring and use of double tax treaties
  • Managing the implementation of advice, liaising with overseas tax and legal counsel
  • Advising on estate administration and succession planning
  • Managing client files, providing regular updates, and handling billing
  • Drafting bespoke deeds, agreements, and Wills
  • Supporting business development and marketing initiatives
  • Supervising and mentoring junior team members


The Private Client Associate

To be considered for the role of Private Client Associate, you must have:

  • 3-6 years of post-qualification experience (PQE) in private client law, with a focus on tax and estate planning
  • A strong understanding of UK and international tax law, particularly in relation to HNW/UHNW individuals and families
  • Experience handling estate administration, succession planning, and cross-border structuring
  • Exceptional communication and client management skills
  • The ability to draft bespoke legal documents to meet individual client needs
  • An interest in business development and marketing within the private client sector
