About the Role:

Our client are looking for a motivated and skilled Solicitor (NQ-5 years PQE) to join their growing Professional Indemnity Team in London. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a dynamic and high-performing group, handling a varied caseload and working on significant, multi-party claims.

You will manage smaller professional indemnity claims while assisting lead partners with high-value, complex litigation. Our team handles claims against professionals such as solicitors, conveyancers, surveyors, architects, and engineers, along with advising on large and intricate policy matters.

Future secondment opportunities are a strong possibility, allowing you to gain further exposure and experience in the field.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Managing a personal caseload of smaller professional indemnity claims
  • Assisting senior partners on high-value and multi-party claims
  • Reviewing documents, preparing reports, and providing case analyses
  • Liaising with Insured clients and Insurers
  • Managing disclosure, reviewing evidence, and conducting investigations
  • Instructing Counsel and expert witnesses
  • Drafting legal documents, reports, and correspondence
  • Attending conferences and trials with Counsel
  • Ensuring compliance with the SRA Code of Conduct 2011 and Service Standards

Additional duties may include:

  • Preparing initial and periodic case reviews and update reports

Required Skills and Experience:

  • NQ-5 years PQE
  • Strong organizational and prioritization skills
  • Excellent written communication, with the ability to draft concise and clear reports
  • High attention to detail
  • Familiarity with case management systems
  • Ability to work on complex litigation and liaise with senior claims handlers
  • Legal qualification (Solicitor, FILEX, or equivalent)

Desirable Skills:

  • Experience in claims handling (secondment experience is a plus)
  • Desire to contribute to client relationship development and the growth of the practice
