A leading Regulatory Department offers a unique and diverse role for a skilled lawyer to join their top-ranked team of medical defence specialists, providing national services to healthcare professionals.The department provides expert advice to organisations and healthcare professionals facing disciplinary actions, criminal allegations, regulatory sanctions, Data Protection Act (DPA) requests, and inquests. This is a fantastic opportunity to work alongside a highly regarded team, supporting doctors, dentists, and private clients through complex regulatory matters.Key Responsibilities:
  • Assisting senior fee earners in managing a varied caseload of professional discipline matters.
  • Drafting submissions to regulatory bodies.
  • Instructing counsel and medical experts.
  • Liaising with institutional and private clients.
  • Advocacy at inquests and GMC hearings.
  • Attending hearings with counsel.
  • Meeting financial and chargeable targets.
  • Adhering to deadlines, quality standards, and KPIs.
  • Complying with internal policies and working in line with the firm's values.
About You: You will be a qualified solicitor with 3 to 15 years PQE, ideally with experience in the healthcare sector. We are looking for someone with a flexible approach, who can work on diverse cases and adapt to different challenges. You will have:
