Opportunity for a Residential Property Solicitor to join the leading Property Department of a Top 80 UK law firm.

The firm

Our client is a Top 80 UK law firm based in London.

Their Legal 500 and Chambers ranked Residential Property Department support HNW and UHNW individuals buying and selling prime London property.

The firm balance exceptional work quality and standards with a healthy work-life balance. They place a lot of importance on staff wellbeing, training and support, making it a great place to work.

They have a state of the art office in one of London's prime spots, where the team work 2-3 days per week. There is flexibility to work from home for the remainder.

The role

This is an exciting opportunity for a Residential Property Solicitor to join the firm's well respected Property Department as an Associate or Senior Associate.

The team support HNW and UHNW clients in residential and investment property sales and purchases, leasehold enfranchisement, planning considerations, and construction and building contracts.

The team receive repeat referrals from leading estate agents, buying agents, and financial intermediaries.

Duties will include:

  • Dealing with all aspects of residential conveyancing transactions from instruction to completion
  • Undertaking due diligence and preparing reports on title
  • Acting for landlords and tenants in connection with licences to assign, rent deposit deeds, licences to alter and deeds of variation
  • Assisting the Real Estate Litigation Department on matters relating to statutory lease extension and enfranchisement claims
  • Drafting, negotiating, and completing transfers of part, new leases, assured shorthold tenancy agreements and common law tenancy agreements
  • Assisting and mentoring junior members of the team including Trainees and Paralegals
  • Business development

Required

  • 2-6 years' PQE in residential property law (essential)
  • Experience independently handling the sale and purchase of prime London property (essential)
  • Experience dealing with enfranchisement matters (desirable)
