Senior Associate - Construction - Successful Law Firm - London / Hybrid Working - Competitive salary + great benefits

We are on the hunt for a Senior Associate, with c5+ years PQE and experience working on construction phase advisory and contentious construction matters, to join a leading London Law Firm.

The Senior Associate will utilise their knowledge and experience to advise the firm’s clients on adjudication, litigation, mediation, arbitration and the avoidance of disputes.

Key responsibilities as the Senior Associate will include:

  • Supporting marketing and business development activities to grow the Construction Advisory and Disputes practice
  • Advising clients on the avoidance, management and mitigation of construction disputes
  • Investigation and advisory work - adjudication, litigation, mediation and arbitration in respect of disputes in the construction sector
  • Attending client meetings, conferences with counsel and court appearances
  • Researching points of law
  • General case and document management

What we’re looking for:

  • c5 years+ PQE experience
  • Experience in contentious construction matters gained in an established practice
  • Strong procedural experience of litigation in the Technology and Construction Court / arbitration
  • Ability to produce legal advice for clients (written and verbal)
  • Experienced in legal business development and marketing with excellent business acumen and commercial awareness
  • Ambition to develop and grow the Construction Advisory and Disputes practice
  • Excellent research skills
  • Confident and professional communication skills with the ability to build and maintain strong relationships with clients and manage client expectations
  • Confident presentation skills
  • Ability to support junior team members
  • Strong IT skills
