About Us:Here at Service Care Solutions we are working with a London Local Authority who are looking for someone to join their dynamic legal team dedicated to serving local authority and communities. They focus on providing expert legal support in housing law and are committed to upholding the highest standards of public service.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide expert legal advice on public sector housing law, particularly homelessness litigation and housing allocations under the Housing Act 1996.
  • Manage litigation and legal matters related to local authority tenancies under the Housing Act 1985.
  • Conduct general land law and tenant legislation casework.
  • Handle casework with minimal supervision, ensuring timely and effective resolution of issues.
  • Conduct thorough legal research and prepare clear, accurate written and oral legal advice.
  • Assess legal risks accurately and provide guidance to support decision-making.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Significant experience in public sector housing law and litigation, holding a Current practising certificate.
  • Proven track record in homelessness litigation and housing allocations.
  • Extensive knowledge of local authority tenancies and related legislation.
  • Strong IT literacy, with proficiency in legal research and case management systems.
