Senior Legal Counsel

ARM are delighted to be supporting one of our clients with the recruitment of a Senior Legal Counsel on an initial 4 week basis.

The position will support the Deputy General Counsel, the CLO and Legal Counsel on all operational, corporate and commercial matters.

Responsibilities:

  • Draft, review and negotiate a commercial agreement, partnership agreements, and supplier contracts and advise on legal risks, business strategies, and other issues related to commercial operations and transactions.
  • Together with the Data Privacy team, collaborate with all business stakeholders and external third parties to ensure the company?s compliance with data protection laws, including GDPR, and oversee compliance with data privacy policies and procedures.
  • Collaborate with operations, product and technology teams to provide legal support on product development, intellectual property, and regulatory compliance.
  • Advise on legal issues related to technology licensing, software development, and digital content.
  • Ability to collaborate with the rest of the Legal Team but confident enough to work autonomously and get on with the job.?

Requirements:

  • Qualified as a solicitor or barrister within the UK, Australia, or New Zealand (or similar jurisdiction) with 5-7 years PQE.
  • Extensive experience in data privacy, and commercial law, preferably within the technology sector together with a proven track record of overdelivering on objectives and providing strategic legal advice and support to senior management.
  • Deep understanding of the legal and regulatory landscape affecting technology businesses and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities.
  • High energy, relentless in the pursuit of legal excellence, and dedicated to delivering the highest quality internal advice and support.
  • Must be familiar with and able to adopt new and existing legal technologies to advance innovation.
