Protiviti, the global management consulting firm, are seeking a dynamic Interim DORA Project Manager to lead a high-impact project focused on ensuring compliance with the Digital Operational Resilience Act (DORA) and related UK operational resilience regulations. As a Project Manager, you will play a pivotal role in delivering operational resilience projects across our client's business, driving compliance with new regulations, and mitigating operational risks in a regulated environment.Key Responsibilities:
  • Project Leadership: Lead the end-to-end delivery of the DORA compliance project, ensuring alignment with UK regulatory requirements for operational resilience. Oversee project planning, execution, monitoring, and reporting.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure compliance with the Digital Operational Resilience Act (DORA) and other relevant UK regulations, working closely with compliance, risk management, and IT teams to identify and mitigate risks.
  • Stakeholder Management: Engage with senior stakeholders, including C-level executives, regulatory bodies, and internal teams, to communicate project progress, challenges, and solutions.
  • Risk Management: Identify potential risks, vulnerabilities, and threats to operational resilience. Develop and implement risk mitigation strategies to ensure business continuity and regulatory compliance.
  • Change Management: Drive change management initiatives related to the DORA project, ensuring smooth adoption and integration of new processes, tools, and systems within the organisation.
  • Resource Allocation: Manage project resources, including internal teams and third-party vendors, to ensure project milestones are achieved on time and within budget.
  • Reporting and Documentation: Develop and maintain comprehensive project documentation, including project plans, risk assessments, regulatory reports, and status updates for senior management and regulatory authorities.
  • Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for continuous improvement in operational resilience practices and contribute to the development of policies and frameworks to enhance the organisation's overall resilience posture.
Key Requirements:
  • Proven Project Management Experience: extensive experience in project management, with a focus on delivering operational resilience projects within regulated environments, preferably in the UK financial services sector.
  • In-Depth Knowledge of DORA: Strong understanding of the Digital Operational Resilience Act (DORA) and other relevant UK regulations, including the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) and Prudential Regulation Authority (PRA) guidelines.
  • Operational Resilience Expertise: Demonstrable experience in managing projects related to operational resilience, business continuity, risk management, and regulatory compliance.
  • Strong Leadership and Communication Skills: Excellent stakeholder management, negotiation, and communication skills, with the ability to engage and influence senior stakeholders.
  • Analytical and Problem-Solving Skills: Strong analytical skills with the ability to assess complex regulatory requirements and develop practical solutions to ensure compliance.
  • Project Management Certification: PRINCE2, PMP, or similar project management certification is preferred.
  • Flexible and Adaptable: Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt to evolving regulatory requirements and organisation needs.
  • Excellent Organisational Skills: Ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritise workloads, and deliver results under tight deadlines.
