Interim Quality Improvement Lead

Location: London, hybrid working

Length: 3 months initially

IR35 Status: Inside

We are currently supporting a local authority client to recruit an interim Quality Improvement Lead who will work with identified care and support providers to deliver quality improvement and culture change in order to bring about sustained change.

The Quality Improvement Lead role will involve:

  • Providing immediate help and support to service users and contractors to solve urgent and substantial operational problems and to ensure service delivery requirements within the council’s policies and contractual liabilities
  • Producing high quality reports summarising issues as required
  • Raising any safeguarding concerns and alerts to the relevant manager in line with protocols
  • Leading and supporting negotiations/meetings with suppliers to ensure effective supplier relationship management
  • Developing and maintain a good understanding of the service’s business needs and keep up-to-date with industry best practice to ensure that contract monitoring adds value to the business, and complies with corporate priorities, statutory frameworks and legislation

Experience and skills required for the Quality Improvement Lead:

  • Previously undertaken a similar role improving the service quality of commissioned care providers
  • Knowledge of health and social care policies, procedures, legislation and regulations in respect of the relevant client groups
  • Experience of communicating, liaising and negotiating with a complex range of stakeholders
  • Ability to apply creativity, ingenuity and flexibility when working with providers to develop and implement service improvements
