Do you have a background in Education and would like to assist students as a pastoral support member? Are you a motivated individual wanting to make a positive impact on the lives of students in primary education? If so, we want to hear from you.

Long Term Futures are working with a highly-rated primary school based in Southwark, London. The school are looking for a confident individual with sports coaching experience to come join their proactive team and provide 1:1 assistance to children with behavioural difficulties.

Responsibilities as a Behaviour Mentor:

  • Support children with SEN and challenging behaviour in small groups or on a 1:1 basis.
  • Helping design interventions that help regulate emotions and difficult behaviour in students.
  • Act as a mentor and promote school values and behaviour standards to the students.
  • Help improve student behaviour by providing sporting opportunities.
  • Design long-term plans and targets to improve behaviour and reach learning targets.

About you:

  • Previous experience working with children in education or mentoring and supporting behaviour.
  • Previous sporting background/sports coaching experience is desired to be successful
  • Positive, patient and resilient personality and able to act as a role model.
  • Level 3 TA Qualification or equivalent.
  • Valid, in-date DBS & two references.
