Are you passionate about supporting young people in overcoming barriers to learning? Do you have experience working with children and a strong understanding of behaviour management strategies?

A vibrant and inclusive secondary school in Lewisham is seeking a dedicated Behaviour Mentor to join their team immediately. This is a full-time, long-term role that will run until the end of the academic year, offering an excellent opportunity to make a meaningful impact.

Role & Responsibilities:
  • Work closely with students to support positive behaviour and engagement in learning.
  • Implement tailored behaviour strategies and interventions.
  • Build strong relationships with students, helping to boost their confidence and resilience.
  • Support teaching staff in managing classroom behaviour and promoting a positive learning environment.
  • Provide one-to-one and small group mentoring to students who require additional support.
  • Liaise with parents, teachers, and external professionals to ensure student progress.
Requirements:
  • Previous experience working with children in an educational, mentoring, or support role.
  • A valid Enhanced DBS check on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one).
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to manage challenging behaviour effectively and positively.
  • A patient, empathetic, and resilient approach.
