A well-regarded secondary school in Lewisham is seeking a dedicated Behaviour Mentor to join their team immediately. This is a full-time, long-term role lasting until the end of the academic year, offering an excellent opportunity to make a meaningful impact.
Key Responsibilities:- Work closely with students to support positive behaviour and engagement in learning
- Implement tailored behaviour strategies and interventions
- Build strong relationships with students, boosting confidence and resilience
- Support teaching staff in managing classroom behaviour and promoting a positive learning environment
- Provide one-to-one and small group mentoring for students who require additional support
- Liaise with parents, teachers, and external professionals to ensure student progress
- Previous experience working with children in an educational, mentoring, or support role
- A valid Enhanced DBS check on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to manage challenging behaviour effectively and positively
- A patient, empathetic, and resilient approach
