About the role - Behaviour Mentor

I am working with this outstanding secondary school based in Newham who are looking to appoint a behaviour mentor to join them as soon as possible. The successful behaviour mentor will be responsible for delivering 1:1, paired and small group with students with challenging behaviour. The school are looking for an individual who can maintain a physically safe environment whilst following risk assessments as appropriate. The main focus for the successful behaviour mentor will be to act as a positive role model for the students in Years 7 - 11.

About the school - Behaviour Mentor

This multi-ethnic and multi-cultural, secondary school based in Newham support a total of 814 students aged 11 to 16. With the school newly opened in January 2018, there is continuous growth with a curriculum that suits the needs of each individual with high levels of challenge. The school has a provision for 25 pupils with profound, severe, and multiple learning difficulties which is supported by a specialist PMLD team of teachers and support staff. The school is described as a safe, positive, and family-friendly environment with exceptional facilities for young people to learn and grow. The current headteacher is passionate about supporting all pupils to leave having made excellent progress throughout their time in school.
