A well-respected mainstream secondary school in Greenwich is seeking a dedicated Behaviour Mentor to join their team immediately. This is a full-time, long-term position running until the end of the academic year.
The RoleAs a Behaviour Mentor, you will support students who require additional guidance to manage their behaviour and engagement in school. Your key responsibilities will include:
- Building positive relationships with students to encourage engagement and motivation.
- Supporting students with behavioural challenges both in and out of the classroom.
- Implementing strategies to promote positive behaviour and emotional well-being.
- Working closely with teachers, pastoral staff, and external agencies to create tailored support plans.
- Acting as a role model and providing a safe and structured environment for learning.
- Previous experience working with children or young people, ideally in a school or youth work setting.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a patient and resilient approach.
- The ability to manage challenging behaviour and support students in developing self-regulation skills.
- A valid Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one).
