The Opportunity:
Long Term Futures is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Pastoral Assistant to join a reputable secondary school in Westminster (W1U). The school values the Emotional Literacy Support Assistant (ELSA) qualification, and candidates with this certification are highly desirable.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide pastoral support to students, addressing their emotional, social, and behavioural needs
- Collaborate with teaching staff and the pastoral team to implement support strategies
- Assist in developing and delivering intervention programmes, focusing on emotional literacy and well-being
- Monitor and record student progress, maintaining accurate and confidential records

Who We're Looking For:
- Experience in a pastoral or support role within a secondary school setting
- ELSA qualification is highly desirable, or a willingness to undertake training
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build rapport with students and staff
- Empathetic and patient approach, with a genuine passion for supporting young people
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team, as well as independently
