Legal Secretary - City - Up to £52,000 FTE

Wise May are looking for a Legal Secretary for a progressive Law firm, the company are based in a vibrant office in the City.

This is a great opportunity to join a diverse team who reward hard work.

Duties to include:

  • Full secretarial support
  • Drafting of correspondence and documents (usually to tight deadlines), reformatting into WGM house style, including Word, Excel, Visio and PowerPoint
  • Filing, document management, opening new matters and archiving
  • Diary management, coordinating internal and external meetings
  • Maintaining contact information, collating lists of parties for specific deals
  • Email management and archiving of emails
  • Encouraging fee earners to keep up to date with DTE, inputting DTE information as provided by fee earners
  • Organising attendance at seminars, work related travel, accommodation etc
  • Organising/assisting with department events and client/marketing events
  • Other ad hoc tasks when required

Skills:

  • High level of ability on all applications, including Word, Excel, Visio and PowerPoint
  • Ability to work under pressure and prioritise

  • Good accuracy and attention to detail

  • Confidentiality and discretion

  • Good telephone manner and communication skills, including the ability and confidence to liaise with clients and employees at all levels
  • Candidate must be willing to work outside of normal contractual hours where necessary
