Our litigation department handles a broad range of disputes, and we are seeking a dedicated Litigation Paralegal to support our team in residential and commercial litigation, as well as probate litigation.
The Role is based in Leyton
We are looking for an ambitious and detail-oriented Litigation Paralegal to assist our fee earners in handling complex disputes. The role involves managing case files, liaising with clients, and supporting the team in preparing for hearings and trials.
Key Responsibilities
- Assisting solicitors with case preparation, legal research, and drafting correspondence
- Managing client communication, including attending meetings and taking instructions
- Preparing court documents, witness statements, and trial bundles
- Liaising with counsel, experts, and third parties
- Handling document review and disclosure processes
- Conducting legal research and staying updated on relevant legislation
- Assisting in probate litigation, including contentious estates and inheritance disputes
- Attending court hearings and taking notes where required
Requirements
- Previous experience in litigation, ideally in residential and commercial disputes or probate litigation
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple cases
- Excellent legal research and drafting skills
- High attention to detail and ability to work under pressure
- Strong communication and client care skills
- Proficiency with LEAP case management software (desirable but not essential)
