Legal Counsel - Insurance

Legal Counsel is required to join a specialist provider of insurance services, a subsidiary of a well-known Global Reinsurance business.
About the Legal Counsel;
- Develop, negotiate, and review a range of commercial insurance agreements, including insurance distribution agreements, data use agreements etc
- Draft and negotiate wordings on insurance products and related documentation
- Assisting with regulatory matters as required
- Assist the business with developing and improving insurance products
- Provide legal advice on insurance law, excluding claims handling
- Collaborate with legal teams both internally and internationally across the Group
- Responsible for training with internal business functions to improve understanding of wordings, coverage, and general insurance law matters
Requirements of the Legal Counsel;
- Legally qualified, preferably in the UK
- Experience working within UK insurance Law, either in-house or in a private practice setting
- Candidates with experience in SII is highly desirable
- Agency or Distribution Law and/ or experience with wordings
