The RoleWe are seeking an experienced Mortgage Adviser with 4+ years of experience to join a leading financial services business. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of mortgage advice, regulatory requirements, and a customer-centric approach to service. You will be responsible for advising clients on the best mortgage products to suit their needs, managing the entire mortgage process from start to finish, and ensuring compliance with industry standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Mortgage Advice: Provide expert mortgage advice tailored to each client's individual needs.
  • Client Management: Manage the mortgage process for clients from initial inquiry through to completion, ensuring a smooth and efficient service.
  • Compliance: Ensure all advice and processes comply with relevant regulatory standards and internal policies.
  • Customer Focus: Deliver a superior customer experience, addressing any concerns and ensuring client satisfaction.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with other teams, including financial planning, compliance, and technology, to provide holistic client outcomes.

Requirements

  • Relevant qualification to provide mortgage advice in the UK (e.g. CeMAP / Certificate in Mortgage Advice)
  • 4+ years of experience as a Mortgage Adviser
  • Strong knowledge of mortgage products, regulatory requirements, and industry trends
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • A customer-focused, results-driven mindset with the ability to manage multiple clients simultaneously

Desirable (But Not Essential)

  • Qualification to give protection advice (e.g. Certificate in Protection, R05 Protection Advice)
  • Experience in a scale-up business environment (0-100 employees)
  • Experience using Salesforce
  • Experience working in a FinTech company
