The company are a industry leading energy storage client current ranked in the top 4 wind turbine manufacturers globally with over 22gw of installed capacity globally with HQ'S across the world currently seeking a Energy storage solutions director to head up the UK.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with Sales for sales initiation, technical support, and value engineering
- Be responsible for RFPs, and assess project scope and risk
- You will hold technical presentations, clarify customer queries
- You will Translate client requirements into Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) design
- You will be in charge of accurate costing and financial analysis.
- You will oversee and submit technical tender responses within deadlines
- Follow up on previous submissions, analyze outcomes
- Study the competitive landscape for ongoing development
- Use insights to influence product development based on customer needs
- You'll collaborate with customers to negotiate and finalize contracts
- You will develop tools and processes to improve tender response efficiency
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's/Master's in Electrical, Mechanical, or Energy Engineering
- Fluent in business and technical English
- 5+ years experience, preferably with a DNO or TSO
- Knowledge of battery systems, controls systems, and grid connections
- Familiarity with grid operator processes
- Solid understanding of BESS system regulations and standards
- Experience in designing utility-scale energy storage systems
- Ability to size Power Converter Systems and battery systems
- A strong Familiarity with design concepts related to protection, sizing, thermal systems, etc
- Additional European languages (Italian, German, Spanish) are a plus
