As an Import Logistics Coordinator within the International Logistics Department, you will play a crucial role in managing and optimising import processes
Areas of Responsibility
Import Operations:
- Coordinate imports, sourcing, repairs, and the Return Material Authorization (RMA) process.
- Collaborate with stakeholders, including carriers, freight forwarders, and customs brokers, to streamline the importation process.
Customs Compliance:
- Stay informed on customs regulations and trade compliance requirements.
- Manage the Inward Processing Relief (IPR) process from RMA to the Bill of Discharge.
- Prepare and submit accurate customs clearance instructions and associated paperwork.
- Work closely with import brokers to resolve issues and ensure regulatory compliance.
Documentation and Record-Keeping:
- Organise and maintain comprehensive shipment records, ensuring all documentation is complete and audit-ready.
- Review and verify shipping documents for accuracy and compliance with customs requirements.
Communication and Collaboration:
- Coordinate with internal teams to ensure seamless information flow.
- Proactively communicate with external partners to address issues and enhance the supply chain process.
Requirements:
- Extensive experience in the international transportation or logistics industry, with a solid understanding of IPR processes.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office products.
- Familiarity with SAP or equivalent enterprise systems (training can be provided).
- Exceptional attention to detail.
- Highly motivated, organised, and practical.
- Strong team player with excellent communication and organisational skills.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
