As an Import Logistics Coordinator within the International Logistics Department, you will play a crucial role in managing and optimising import processes

Areas of Responsibility

Import Operations:

  • Coordinate imports, sourcing, repairs, and the Return Material Authorization (RMA) process.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders, including carriers, freight forwarders, and customs brokers, to streamline the importation process.

Customs Compliance:

  • Stay informed on customs regulations and trade compliance requirements.
  • Manage the Inward Processing Relief (IPR) process from RMA to the Bill of Discharge.
  • Prepare and submit accurate customs clearance instructions and associated paperwork.
  • Work closely with import brokers to resolve issues and ensure regulatory compliance.

Documentation and Record-Keeping:

  • Organise and maintain comprehensive shipment records, ensuring all documentation is complete and audit-ready.
  • Review and verify shipping documents for accuracy and compliance with customs requirements.

Communication and Collaboration:

  • Coordinate with internal teams to ensure seamless information flow.
  • Proactively communicate with external partners to address issues and enhance the supply chain process.

Requirements:

  • Extensive experience in the international transportation or logistics industry, with a solid understanding of IPR processes.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office products.
  • Familiarity with SAP or equivalent enterprise systems (training can be provided).
  • Exceptional attention to detail.
  • Highly motivated, organised, and practical.
  • Strong team player with excellent communication and organisational skills.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
