Key Responsibilities of this Buying Director - Own-label food position -
- Lead the strategy for the territory for the Buying across all food categories.
- Take full ownership of the P&L & maintaining commercial margins whilst offering good value to the customer
- Lead & develop a team of 6-8 Buyers
- Curate assortments of relevant SKUs aligned with customer needs and hard discount principles.
- Negotiate with both private-label and branded suppliers.
- Analyse categories and the competitive landscape.
- Implement measures to maintain product quality across the different ranges
- Collaborate closely with other departments to optimise service levels for customers.
Requirements for this Buying Director - Own-label food position -
- Ideally having 6 plus years + buying experience in discount retail.
- You must be operating at a Head of, Manager or Director level leading a team within Buying, Procurement or Product.
- You must have private level experience
- Results-driven, highly motivated, and well-organised, thriving in a fast-growing company.
- Bachelor's degree ore equivalent is desirable
- Full proficiency in English.
- Flexible and adaptable to a new culture & location
- Open to relocation to Jakarta - If you have interest or links to the in the Indonesia or Philippines this will be beneficial
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and the ability to quickly adapt to internal systems (NS-Oracle).
