Key Responsibilities:

  • Supporting the management and administration of construction works in line with council contracts.
  • Implementing construction phase plans, ensuring compliance with quality plans, method statements, and risk assessments.
  • Monitoring site operations, ensuring health and safety adherence, and conducting regular checks.
  • Liaising with contractors regarding network occupancy conditions and temporary traffic management.
  • Recording all works performed and issuing necessary instructions to contractors.
  • Managing measurements and identifying snagging and defects for correction within the agreed period.
  • Collaborating with engineering staff to maintain high professional technical standards.
  • Assisting in the planning, programming, and delivery of assigned projects.


Job Requirements:

  • Experience in supervising highway and traffic management works.
  • Working knowledge of traffic management and public safety legislation, along with statutory duties and practices.
  • Detailed technical expertise in the implementation and supervision of traffic engineering schemes.
  • Familiarity with construction phase plans and quality assurance methods.
  • Strong communication skills for liaising with contractors and stakeholders.
  • Ability to monitor and ensure compliance with health and safety regulations on site.
