THE COMPANY

Our client is an Academy, BAFTA, and Golden Globe winning producer and distributor of British films.

THE ROLE

As Distribution Assistant you will provide support for senior leaders in sales, technical and marketing teams to ensure a seamless and efficient release of titles in cinemas across the UK and Ireland.

Key responsibilities:

  • Support theatrical holdovers by analysing box office figures.
  • Input new film stats and holdover titles into the contract management system.
  • Prepare weekly shipping sheets for new bookings and issue KDMs accordingly.
  • Help organise and maintain scheduling sheets for upcoming releases.
  • Assist in scheduling new releases on the UK calendar.
  • Update exhibitors and their marketing teams with the latest materials, including trailers, posters, and social media content.
  • Organise both internal and external screenings and gather feedback.
  • Compile data and release information to aid in forecasting and planning.

THE PERSON

To be successful in this role, you should have a passion for and knowledge of films as well as be organised and capable of managing time effectively. Quick decision-making and a proactive approach to problem-solving is crucial, as is the ability to thrive in a high-pressure, versatile environment.

Proficiency in Excel and excellent analytical abilities are essential, plus strong verbal and written communication skills.

Lastly, a solid understanding of social media and its application in the film industry is important.
