Description
Based at our clients operation in North London, the General Manager will report in to the Regional Director and key responsibilities will include:
- Oversee an operation c250+ heads, including warehouse, transport and H&S functional leads.
- Lead and motivate the team to meet company objectives and KPIs.
- Manage budget and allocate resources effectively.
- Develop and implement strategic plans to improve efficiency and productivity.
- Ensure compliance with industry regulations and company policies.
- Collaborate with other department leaders to achieve company goals.
- Handle customer queries in order to maintain high customer satisfaction.
- Identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives.
Profile
The successful General Manager will live within a commuting distance of our client's operation in North London and be able to demonstrate the following experience:
- Experience in leading large scale FMCG logistics operations.
- A transport bias and CPC qualification is preferred.
- A people first leadership style with an emphasis on engagement and developing others.
- Experience of leading and delivering change on a large scale.
- Experience of managing large and complex budgets.
- An effective communicator that can collaborate across all levels.
- Previous experience of managing effectively within unionised environments.
Job Offer
An attractive salary package ranging from £85,000 to £100,000 per annum.
