This division provides an LLP service for a major client, well established in the group and enjoying a long term contractual arrangement. It operates predominantly in the UK but with some international supply chain interface.
In this role you will lead the LLP operation which covers end-to-end supply chain, but with a strong focus on the transport operation which covers multiple sites across the country.
This network is complex and utilises in-house and third-party operations.
You will develop and control this network, which is highly seasonal. This will involve extensive development work with suppliers, selection of new carriers and network design activity.
Your background will be strongly orientated to logistics and transport management and you will have managed complex fleet operations using sub-contracted operators.
The role is a mix of commercial and operational activity, and you will be required to build close working relationships with the main client and its stakeholders.
