Salary: From £25,000 - £27,000 per annum based on experience Type: Full time, Permanent
Shift: Monday - Friday

Key Responsibilities include:

  • Efficiently and accurately despatching drivers with all relevant paperwork

  • Prepare letters, minutes, notes and other clerical support to officers as appropriate and as directed by the programme manager.

  • Use initiative, tact and diplomacy in responding to queries, escalate issues and problems which arise to senior manager in the absence of the transport manager.

  • Order and monitor supplies of stationery and office requests for internal stakeholders.

  • Be responsible for maintaining efficient recording and filing systems within the service as directed by the transport manager

  • Ensure the drivers’ paperwork has been completed in full and recording any feedback from them which will need to be passed to the management team.

  • Answering the phone, responding appropriately to any enquiries, calls and take messages to pass on to the relevant department.

  • Running Tachograph and KPI reports amongst other administrative tasks

  • Use of transport management softwares and data input

  • Support other members of the transport team with any tasks requiring completion

    Skills and Competencies

  • Demonstrable administration skills (experience in fuels industry desirable)

  • A team player with the ability to communicate effectively at all levels.

  • An approachable and reliable attitude

  • Experience working in a busy Transport office desirable

  • Strong communication and customer service skills, both written and verbal

  • Knowledge of the WTD, Drivers Hours, Tachograph and Transport legislation preferable

  • Ability to prioritize own workload but also be able to work as part of a team

  • Attention to detail

  • Conversant in IT skills e.g., Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel) and CRM systems.
