French Resources has been selected to work with Momentum, partner of Eurostar, to recruit a French speaking Logistics Team Leader.

This is an exciting opportunity for a French speaking Logistics Team Leader to manage Logistics people and operations. Your role will be to support the logistics team with daily operations, monitor and communicate with the Logistics Manager and the wider teams on all information that impacts the service. The Logistics Team Leader will also proactively monitor disruptions and external events that could potentially result in an operational disruption and take action to mitigate risk of impact using the contingency tools available.

The Logistics Team Leader will go to Paris every other week.

Role of the Logistics Team Leader:

Operations:

  • Ensuring loading plans and processes are up-to-date and agreed with all parties
  • Ensuring platform checks are being completed by Logistics Specialist
  • Communicating clearly between internal and external departments, CAVs, and Eurostar, including participation in relevant meetings and support the Logistics Manager in maintaining those relationships
  • Managing team of Logistics Specialists to ensure smooth running of operations and actions are taken in a timely manner to mitigate logistics issues
  • Project Managing special groups and charter trains with MSL and EIL
  • Ensuring team is communicating effectively to OBS and lounges on all disruptions
  • Reviewing feedback from OBS and CAVs on Logistics issues daily and implement solutions
  • Ensuring coverage of all shifts at all times throughout the year; including covering shifts when necessary

Management:

  • Creating and updating roster to ensure shift coverage aligned with the need of the business
  • Conducting all staff assessment, feedback on a bi-weekly basis and confirm PRP scores
  • Creating team development plan to support Logistics Specialists in all operational needs

Finance:

  • Working alongside MSL departments to ensure loadings adapted in accordance with sales and minimise wastage for both BB and FC
  • Auditing the Logistics Specialists team analysis tasks, provide feedback to ensure process is adhered to as described and reported to the relevant stakeholders on time
  • Monitoring the key data provided from Logistics partners such as wastage, recycling, top off and take relevant action to maintain stock availability in line with the KPIs
  • Assisting Logistics Manager with invoicing of special events and charter trains

Profile:

  • Fluent in English and French, Dutch will be advantageous
  • Previous experience in logistics, supply chain, stock management ideally in a similar environment
  • Ability to work accurately with numbers, data and hold problem-solving skills
  • Team development and leadership skills
  • Experience of working in multi-cultural environment will be a plus
  • Ability to think outside the box will be an asset
  • Must be able to travel to France and to work weekends
