Your new company

Our client would like to ensure that all requests for permits are submitted in accordance with the NRSWA (New Roads and Street Works Act) and TMA 2004 (Traffic Management Act), as well as the London Permit Scheme (LoPS). If permit applications are declined or if conditions are required, ensure that they are addressed appropriately to ensure efficient coordination and monitoring of both third-party works and council-promoted works. This will help to ensure that all works are carried out effectively and efficiently.

Your New Role

Due to continued growth, our client is looking to on board aPermitting Officerwith a great opportunity for growth and expanding your skillset. In brief, your time will largely consist of

  • Processing permit applications with precision and accuracy, adhering to established deadlines and complying with national regulations.
  • Ensuring any FPNs received are challenged where appropriate.
  • Collaboratingwith Street Works Officers/Network Stewards to help in the processing of traffic management applications and licenses.
  • Managingfees, fines, charges, and FPNs in accordance with Permit Scheme Procedures, including overseeing payments of utility company fees, fines, and invoices
  • Maintaining accurate and up to date records in line with permit procedures, NRSWA and TMA legislation.
  • Being heldresponsible for logging and issuing all incoming street works related correspondence and undertaking any other duties within the general scope of the post as required by the Street Works Manager.
  • Carrying out any other relevant appropriate duties as may be allocated by line management.

About you

Along with your ability to help drive forward effectivesystems you will fulfil the below:

  • Have an understanding of the NRSWA and Traffic Management Acts
  • Possession of necessary certifications to work including Streetworks Qualification Registration
  • Evidence in planning and co-ordinating various functions of work on time and accuracy including acting on own initiative
  • Able to demonstrate competence in producing and presenting clear, concise, accurate and effective management information reports and statistical analysis by communicating both orally and in writing.
  • Experience with Network and Asset Management software and ability to learn various IT systems efficiently.
  • Meet established goals and deadlines with precision and accuracy.
  • Collaborate effectively with team members to ensure project success.
  • Maintain excellent attendance and dependability to ensure consistent output.
  • Competent computing skills including demonstrating working knowledge when using Microsoft Office.
  • Ensure high quality and accuracy of work through attention to detail and adherence to company standards.
