This is a fantastic opportunity to join a dynamic team within a leading Insurance organisation based in London, offering a salary of £60,000 - £70,000, a £5400 car allowance, and a hybrid working model with 2 days per week in the office.

Your Role:As a Procurement Manager, you'll collaborate with senior leaders to shape and deliver sourcing strategies that maximise value, encourage innovation, and manage supplier risks. You'll oversee key contracts across IT and non-IT areas, lead impactful negotiations with multiple vendors, and act as a trusted advisor to the business. This role is essential in driving competitive outcomes and effective risk management for a large-scale organisation with a strong footprint in financial services and telecoms.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain proactive category plans, using market insights, business needs, and technological trends to meet or exceed savings targets.
  • Identify and evaluate new sourcing opportunities, ensuring they align with organisational goals and UK/global procurement frameworks.
  • Lead commercial negotiations with suppliers, promoting competitive strategies such as e-auctions and rapid RFX processes.
  • Assess and mitigate supplier risks, balancing cost efficiency with robust controls amid economic, regulatory, or operational shifts.
  • Maintain accurate procurement data, track pipeline activity, and deliver savings in line with internal processes.
  • Work closely with stakeholders to execute sourcing initiatives and manage supplier relationships, ensuring seamless transitions to contract implementation.

Requirements:We're seeking a strategic and hands-on professional with a strong procurement background. If you bring:

  • Proven experience in sourcing, contract management, and category planning, ideally within IT-related areas.
  • Exceptional negotiation, critical thinking, and influencing skills, with the ability to engage senior stakeholders.
  • A blend of strategic vision and tactical delivery, plus strong business planning skills to drive change.
  • Excellent communication and presentation abilities to build compelling cases for investment or transformation.
  • Advanced proficiency in MS Excel and PowerPoint (Word and Visio knowledge a plus).
  • Solid understanding of contract law and procurement best practices.

Desirable:

  • Experience in financial services, with an awareness of regulatory environments.
  • MCIPS qualification (or working towards it).
  • Familiarity with global or European procurement frameworks.
