Who You'll Be Working for: Global raw materials trader.

Raw Materials and Ingredients Trader - Food - What You'll be Doing Each Day: They will possess a detailed understanding of the contemporary food manufacturing procurement environment and will bring a proven track record of driving revenue growth.

Dairy and food ingredients have been integral to the company identity since its inception and will remain so. A thorough grasp of food science technologies is vital to win the trust and confidence of business partners, with a particular focus on value addition for manufacturers.

  • To generate new third party (external) trade, adding to our sales accounts in existing and new
  • geographies, beyond existing Group interests.
  • To identify new manufacturing sources for supply of relevant materials, conduct physical
  • premises audits, compliance screening, to incorporate within company's supplier portfolio.
  • Work closely with the company's office network to leverage opportunities.
  • Identify where additional resource allocation is required to drive business development.
  • Play a significant role in new projects seeking to land viable commercially additions to the current portfolio.
  • To report and advise senior colleagues of trading opportunities.
  • To acquire knowledge and expertise in traded products enabling the company to offer timely market intelligence.
  • To commit accurate and relevant intelligence to the Division's databases.
  • To participate in the Division's continuous education, and risk management programmes.
  • Frequent sourcing trips, sometimes in rural locations, processing centres and export hubs are a core responsibility. A minimum of once a month.

Raw Materials and Ingredients Trader - Food - Requirements:

  • Food technology background

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Fluent Spanish or Portuguese - would be a bonus.
