Our client, a well-established removals firm, is seeking a Warehouse Supervisor to support the smooth and efficient running of their warehouse operations.

Reporting to the UK Operations Manager, you will work closely with the Warehouse Supervisor and Logistics Manager, overseeing warehouse activities, managing storage, and ensuring excellent customer service.

The ideal candidate will have experience within a similar warehouse role within the household goods industry. A full UK Driving license and a forklift license would be very beneficial.

This is a full time, permanent position, working hours are Monday - Friday, 8am - 4:30pm.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee warehouse operations, including handling import/export containers, LCL sea shipments, and airfreight over-casing.
  • Supervise and support temporary warehouse personnel, leading by example.
  • Ensure all warehouse and administration procedures are accurately maintained.
  • Monitor stock levels of materials and uniforms.
  • Assist crews with removals as needed.
  • Support vehicle upkeep, ensuring they are clean, parked appropriately, and maintenance issues are reported.
  • Uphold Health & Safety regulations and ensure adherence to risk assessments and procedures.
  • Attend training and participate in performance reviews.
  • Maintain high standards of professionalism and customer service.

  • Build strong relationships within the business and with external stakeholders.
  • Keep health and safety at the forefront of all operations.
  • Assist the logistics team in planning for peak periods and flagging potential challenges.

Requirements:

Essential:

  • Forklift licence (expired licences can be renewed).
  • 3+ years of experience in a similar warehouse role within the household goods/removals industry.
  • Experience in over-casing for airfreight.
  • Reliability and readiness for a physically demanding role.
  • Living within a reasonable commute with reliable transport (car/public transport).
  • Good IT skills for managing records and documentation.

Desirable:

  • Full UK driving licence.
  • Export packing skills.
