We are recruiting for a Senior Commercial Manager with a strong background in Quantity Surveying with expertise in PFI or healthcare contracts for a higbrid role in London.

As the Senior Commercial Manager you will lead a high-performing commercial team within the Healthcare PFI sector. This is a critical leadership role where you will oversee the commercial management of Facilities Management and construction works, ensuring profitability, stakeholder collaboration, and long-term contract success.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Team Leadership & Development: Mentor and develop the commercial team, fostering a culture of collaboration and excellence.
  • Commercial Management of FM & Construction Works: Oversee financial and contractual performance across FM services, lifecycle, and CAPEX projects.
  • Financial & Contractual Oversight: Support the Project Director and finance team in ensuring accurate budgeting, cost control, and contract compliance.
  • Client & Stakeholder Engagement: Maintain strong relationships with key clients, ensuring alignment with project objectives and resolving potential disputes proactively.
  • Risk Management & Compliance: Identify and mitigate commercial risks, ensuring adherence to PFI regulations and industry best practices.
  • Procurement & Tendering: Lead procurement strategies, tender processes, and contractor selection for optimal project outcomes.

Candidate requirements

  • Qualification in Quantity Surveying (or similar). RICS qualification highly desirable.
  • Experience: Significant commercial management, with a proven track record in Healthcare PFI, Facilities Management, and lifecycle/Capex works.
  • Technical Skills: Strong knowledge of contract law, financial management, and dispute resolution within FM and construction.
  • Leadership: Demonstrated ability to manage teams, influence stakeholders, and drive commercial success.
  • Digital Proficiency: Experience with CAFM systems, data analytics, and Excel to support financial reporting and project delivery.
