A London-based train operating company (TOC) is seeking a Senior Regulatory Compliance Manager to ensure that the company complies with external regulatory requirements and internal policies.

This individual will be responsible for ensuring that the TOC adheres to the industry rules and regulations.

The ideal candidate should have experience in senior compliance roles covering finance and safety, along with relevant UK qualifications such as those obtained from ICA and/or CISI.

A strong understanding of rail-specific regulations and the regulatory structure is essential.

Additionally, health, safety, and environmental qualifications (e.g., NEBOSH & IOSH) would be advantageous.

Responsibilities include:

  • Ensuring compliance with regulatory systems, including risk management, governance, and anti-money laundering measures.
  • Maintaining effective relationships with regulatory bodies.
  • Meeting all notification and reporting requirements.
  • Providing information to the Board and senior leadership team, including an annual report on systems and controls.
  • Reviewing internal disclosures and undertaking external reporting when necessary.
  • Analysing and implementing regulatory developments in line with business needs.
  • Handling complaints and other issues arising from supervisory activities.
  • Developing policies and procedures to ensure compliance with industry laws and regulations.
