We are looking for a Senior Procurement and Contracts Manager to join our Corporate Services team at the London Fire Commissioner. This role is integral to developing and managing the sourcing strategy and contracting process for our Professional Services stakeholders. The successful candidate will be at the forefront of ensuring service delivery, value for money, and compliance with procurement regulations.

Day to Day of the role:
  • Monitor and improve existing contractual arrangements to enhance service delivery and value for money.
  • Consult with end users to identify service requirements and assess the suitability of existing contracts.
  • Support stakeholders in business case preparation and conduct market and supplier research for procurement strategies.
  • Manage major contracts to ensure compliance and service delivery, initiating remedial action when necessary.
  • Liaise with suppliers and stakeholders for efficient supply management and operational issue resolution.
  • Prioritise workload based on project urgency and manage multiple ongoing projects.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Hands-on experience in procurement, category, and contract management within the Professional Services category.
  • Strong knowledge of public sector procurement procedures and regulations.
  • Proven ability to draft commercial documents and lead sourcing strategies and contract awards.
  • Experience in supplier management frameworks and end-to-end category management.
  • CIPS certification or willingness to study towards MCIPS is preferred.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft 365, PowerPoint, Excel, SharePoint, and Teams.
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage priorities and meet deadlines.
