TRS Staffing currently have a brilliant opportunity for an experiencedSenior Procurement Managerto join a leadingMajor Tier 1 contractorto assist with various packages across rail projects on a permanent basis.

This position will offer a competitive salary package with hybrid working opportunities based in London.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and be accountable for the procurement of subcontractors, materials, plant, and services, aligning with the project procurement strategy and commitments.
  • Provide management information and reports as required by the project.
  • Establish and maintain effective relationships with suppliers, subcontractors, and service providers to ensure best value for the project.
  • Implement and manage procurement strategies and project procurement objectives.
  • Assist with tendering, supplier selection, market analysis, and risk assessments.
  • Deliver market intelligence, cost advice, and manage supply chain performance and feedback.

About you:

  • Proven experience of working within complex procurement processes within in construction and major projects
  • Demonstrates the ability to manage, plan and structure operational procurement resources of mixed experience and capability
  • Knowledge of sub-contract procurement, legal/contracting law, risk and opportunity management
  • Degree/equivalent qualification, CIPS or MCIPS qualified would be desirable
