About the Role
GTS Transportation is supporting our client, a leading organization in the transportation sector, in their search for an experienced and knowledgeable Service Delivery Technical Advisor. This exciting role is central to the successful implementation of a transformative Resource and Planning Suite, contributing to the efficiency and innovation of rail operations.

The Service Delivery Technical Advisor will provide expert operational and technical guidance to ensure the new system integrates seamlessly into existing processes while driving adoption through effective change management strategies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Act as the technical authority on rail operations, providing insights on system requirements and ensuring compatibility with operational needs.
  • Collaborate with internal teams, external stakeholders, and technical specialists to align operational objectives with system capabilities.
  • Support change management initiatives, delivering strategies to optimize system adoption and functionality.
  • Work with operational teams to ensure operational readiness, including training programs and materials for seamless deployment.
  • Conduct post-deployment evaluations to identify improvements and maximize the new system's efficiency.
  • Build business cases and present papers to senior leadership, ensuring robust financial and operational planning.
  • Engage with industry networks and stakeholders to ensure market alignment and gather valuable insights.

What We're Looking For:

  • In-depth knowledge of rail operations, including resource planning, scheduling, and operational efficiency.
  • Proven experience supporting large-scale system implementations, particularly in rail or transportation sectors.
  • Expertise in building business cases and leading cross-functional collaborations.
  • Strong understanding of change management principles within IT and operational environments.
  • Familiarity with project management methodologies (PRINCE2, Agile, or similar).
  • Exceptional communication and relationship-building skills, with the ability to work effectively across all levels of the organization.
