Our client is looking for an experienced and dynamic Transport Coordinator to oversee the efficient operation of its fleet of around 50 vehicles. In this fast-paced and exciting role, you will play a critical part in supporting their productions by ensuring that our fleet is optimally managed, well-maintained, and always ready to meet the demands of our broadcast teams.

Description

  • Fleet Management: Oversee a fleet of around 50 vehicles, including scheduling, allocation, and maintenance coordination.
  • Logistics Planning: Plan and execute vehicle movement schedules to support the needs of various departments, including TV and radio production.
  • Supplier Liaison: Work closely with vehicle suppliers, repair shops, and fuel providers to ensure smooth daily operations.
  • Compliance: Ensure all vehicles meet legal requirements, including MOT, insurance, and road safety standards.
  • Budget Control: Manage and report on transport costs, optimising efficiency while keeping within budgetary constraints.
  • Team Leadership: Coordinate and supervise a small team of drivers and administrative staff, ensuring clear communication and smooth operations.
  • Problem-Solving: Provide quick, effective solutions to transport-related issues that arise, minimising downtime and disruption to production.

Profile

  • Proven experience in fleet or transport management, ideally within media or events.
  • Strong knowledge of UK transport regulations, road safety, and vehicle maintenance.
  • Exceptional organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities simultaneously.
  • A proactive problem-solver with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience in budget management and a commercial approach to cost-saving initiatives.
  • Ability to work well under pressure and to tight deadlines.
  • Knowledge of the broadcasting industry would be a distinct advantage, but not essential.
