Warehouse Management:
- Oversee the packing and unpacking of equipment for events, following a structured process.
- Liaise with Event Managers (EMs) to confirm packing lists and schedule timings for deliveries and returns.
- Ensure all equipment, including packaging, tableware, platters, aprons, linens, and other materials, are properly logged and maintained.
- Maintain a log for all supplier deliveries (including hire items, alcohol, laundry, and other stock) and ensure timely returns.
- Organise the transfer of clean equipment between the kitchen, warehouse, and storage areas.
- Manage the ordering of stock items, such as drinks, tea/coffee, packaging, and other event essentials.
- Keep the warehouse clean, organised, and efficiently stocked.
Transport and Logistics:
- Conduct daily/weekly van checks and ensure vehicles are in good working condition, including proper food temperature probes.
- Create and manage daily van schedules in collaboration with the events team and Head Chef, ensuring timely deliveries.
- Oversee the packing and loading of vans for events, ensuring all necessary equipment and supplies are accounted for.
- Take responsibility for the safe and professional delivery of products to clients, managing any freelance or additional drivers.
- Ensure all delivery paperwork is completed accurately and returned with the necessary temperature records.
- Manage logistics for Fendale's shop on Chelsea Green, ensuring orders are compiled and factored into the delivery schedule.
Onsite Event Management:
- Coordinate with freelance porters to plan the installation, operation, and de-rigging of equipment at events.
- Lead onsite teams as needed, serving as the "Back of House" (BOH) point of contact for venues and clients, ensuring smooth operations throughout the event.
HACCP Compliance:
- Ensure that all necessary paperwork is completed on time, in accordance with HACCP (Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Point) guidelines.
Skills & Qualifications:
- A clean, valid UK driving licence is essential.
- Proven experience in warehouse management and logistics, ideally within the events or hospitality industry.
- Confident and experienced driver, comfortable driving vans and managing vehicle schedules.
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to take ownership of your responsibilities.
- Able to work independently while collaborating with multiple teams across departments.
- Strong attention to detail, particularly in inventory management, logistics, and food safety.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
- Flexibility to work occasional early mornings, evenings, and weekends when the event schedule demands.
