Our client is currently seeking a Warehouse Supervisor to join their logistics team. As the Warehouse Supervisor, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the warehouse, ensuring efficient and accurate management of goods. You will lead a team of warehouse operatives, schedule shifts, monitor performance, and implement process improvements to meet company standards and customer expectations.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead, motivate, and manage a team of warehouse operatives, ensuring efficient daily operations.
  • Schedule shifts, assign tasks, and monitor performance, providing training and development opportunities.
  • Foster a culture of accuracy, attention to detail, and teamwork.
  • Oversee the receipt, storage, and despatch of products.
  • Maintain accurate inventory records and conduct regular audits to prevent discrepancies.
  • Implement and maintain quality control measures to ensure all products meet company standards.
  • Regularly monitor key metrics and analyse data to identify areas for improvement.
  • Develop and refine standard operating procedures (SOPs) to optimise warehouse operations.
  • Utilise warehouse management software (WMS) to track inventory and manage workflow.
  • Coordinate with other departments to align warehouse activities with business objectives.
  • Ensure timely and accurate fulfilment of customer orders.
  • Communicate effectively with internal teams and external partners.
  • Address and resolve any issues related to order fulfilment and customer service.
  • Prepare and present reports on warehouse performance.
  • Recommend and implement improvements to enhance warehouse operations and customer satisfaction.

Competencies & Experience:

  • Previous experience in a supervisory role within a warehouse or logistics environment.
  • Strong knowledge of inventory management and warehouse operations.
  • Excellent leadership, organisational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency with warehouse management software (WMS) and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Prior experience with the Peoplevox warehouse management system / Shopify e-commerce platform is desirable.
  • Forklift licence would be a bonus.
