Job Description

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a skilled and motivated Fabric Engineer to join our maintenance team on a temp-to-perm basis at a prestigious sporting venue in West London. This role is integral to ensuring the venue's facilities remain in excellent condition, providing a safe and welcoming environment for staff and visitors.

Key Responsibilities

  • Carry out planned preventive maintenance (PPM) tasks to ensure the venue operates efficiently and safely.
  • Respond to reactive maintenance requests in a timely and effective manner.
  • Perform carpentry tasks, including repairs and installations as required.
  • Undertake painting and decorating work to maintain the venue's high standards.
  • Conduct routine water testing in compliance with health and safety regulations.
  • Assist with general fabric maintenance tasks, including fixing doors, locks, flooring, and other minor repairs.
  • Ensure all tasks are completed to a high standard, adhering to relevant health and safety procedures.
  • Collaborate with other team members and contractors to deliver a seamless maintenance service.

Key Skills and Experience

  • Proven experience in a similar Fabric Engineer or Maintenance role.
  • Strong practical skills in carpentry, painting, and general building fabric maintenance.
  • Experience in water hygiene and testing is beneficial but not essential.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical documentation and maintenance schedules.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality work.
  • Good communication skills, with the ability to liaise with various stakeholders effectively.

Qualifications

  • Relevant trade qualifications in carpentry, painting, or a related field (preferred).
  • Health and Safety certifications (e.g., IOSH or equivalent) are advantageous.
