Job Summaryfor the Maintenance Engineer:

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Engineer to join our team. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic environment with a focus on maintaining and optimising machinery. As a Maintenance Engineer, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our ovens, mixing, bagging, and slicing machinery. If you have a passion for engineering and a background in the food industry, we want to hear from you!

Responsibilitiesfor the Maintenance Engineer:

  • Perform daily checks and maintenance on bakery machinery.
  • Identify and replace worn or broken parts using Miller's core suppliers.
  • Work independently to troubleshoot and resolve issues as they arise.
  • Communicate effectively with other staff members.
  • Act as the point of contact for contractors on-site, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.
  • Follow up on work planning with Production and keep accurate records.
  • Stay up to date with Health & Safety regulations and implement new procedures as necessary.
  • Conduct line and machine checks before production to ensure optimal performance.
  • Represent the department during external audits.
  • Walk the line during production to inspect parts and machinery.
  • Perform motor replacements and welding as required.
  • Conduct electrical work and other duties relevant to the role.

Job Hoursfor the Maintenance Engineer:

  • Monday '' Friday: 6.00 to 15.00 during training
  • Sunday '' Thursday: 13.00 to 22.00 after training (overtime may be required occasionally) - Some flexibility on the days and hours.

You Will:

  • Have excellent communication skills and be able to communicate with a variety of different people.
  • Demonstrate good English and oral communication.
  • Be self-driven and motivated.
  • Have a sense of ownership and pride in your work.
