Maintenance Engineer Food Manufacturing

Salary: Up to £52000

Im currently supporting a leading food manufacturer in their search for a skilled Maintenance Engineer to join their team. This is an excellent opportunity to work in a fast-paced, high-volume production environment, offering strong career prospects and a competitive package.

The Role:

This position will see you working as part of a dynamic engineering team, ensuring the smooth operation of processing and packaging machinery. Youll be responsible for planned maintenance, fault diagnosis, breakdown response, and driving continuous improvement across the site.

Key Responsibilities:

Carry out planned and predictive maintenance to prevent machinery downtime.

Diagnose and repair faults across electrical, mechanical, instrumentation, automation, and pneumatic systems.

Respond to breakdowns efficiently, ensuring minimal disruption to production.

Lead or support machinery changeovers and setups.

Contribute to continuous improvement projects to enhance performance and efficiency.

What Were Looking For:

Engineering apprenticeship (C&G / EAL NVQ Level 3 / 4 or equivalent).

Current IET Wiring Regulations (or willingness to achieve within 12 months).

Previous experience in food production or FMCG maintenance is highly desirable.

Strong skills in mechanical and electrical fault-finding (PLC, motion control, sensors, pneumatics, etc.).
