Part Time, Permanent - Up to 17.5 hours per week, working pattern to be agreed between the post holder and the Chief Executive. Occasional out of hours working or travel within the UK may be required, for which time off in lieu will be given.

My client a reputable and established independent regulator is looking for a Part Time Governance Assistant for up to 17.5 hours a week based from home anywhere in the UK.

The Role of Governance Assistant - Part Time

As our Governance Assistant you will support good governance across the organisation. This includes preparation for, arranging and attending meetings, taking minutes and ensuring all actions are allocated and followed up.

You will work as part of the staff team, supporting co-ordination of activity across the organisation and liaising with Trustees and Committee members to support the governance activities of the organisation.

Person Specification

Essential

Experience of managing committees and boards, including minute taking

Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Good organisation and time management skills, and the ability to multi-task and manage your own workload effectively in response to conflicting demands

Ability to work well in a team and individually with a proactive and reliable approach to work

Be trustworthy, resilient, self-motivated, reliable and with a proactive approach to work

Adaptability, flexibility and ability to cope with uncertainty and change

Commitment to continuing professional development

Commitment to equality and diversity

Desirable

Experience of working remotely as part of a team

Experience of working in a customer service environment
