Service Coordinator

Full Time: Mon - Fri 36/hrs a week

Hatched Recruitment is working closely with the local authorities and we are looking for a Service Coordinator in the Hackney area. The ideal candidate is proficient with IT systems, able to develop and maintain business support systems and processes, dynamic, proactive, forward thinking, has the ability to manage upwards and delegate tasks on behalf of the senior management team, has the ability to produce data reports, minute meetings and provide administrative assistance to a team of 7 senior managers within Children's Social Care.

MAIN AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY:

? To maintain professional and helpful communications as the first point of contact for a service area senior management team. To filter calls and resolve issues promptly, whenever possible, tracking timescales for responses and maintaining confidentiality at all times.

? To ensure that the service area senior management team are briefed of all forthcoming meetings and engagements through maintenance and upkeep of the service area's complex electronic diary and to ensure a member of the senior management team is available to attend regular meetings on behalf of the service area or Head of Service.

? To be responsible for arranging senior management team representation at meetings and ensuring that the attending manager is appropriately briefed in advance of attendance.

Skills and Abilities

? Relevant qualifications or demonstrated experience in delivering high quality administrative and office systems, preferably within a local authority environment.

? Demonstrated effective administration experience and verbal and written communication skills enabling liaison with a wide range of professionals and agencies

? Demonstrated ability to work flexibly and cooperatively with a team and a commitment to working in a challenging and demanding working environment.

? Reliability and integrity together with an enthusiastic and positive attitude and an ability to use initiative, apply diplomacy and demonstrate resilience in the workplace.

Knowledge and Experience

? Proficient writing skills with an ability to produce high quality work in a variety of formats and an ability to produce word processing documents in a neat layout in standard formats for letters, reports and to produce non-standard layouts.

? Experience of working in a support role for a senior manager and have a demonstrable understanding of the key tasks required to support the work of a senior management team

? Experience of managing a variety of demanding tasks simultaneously and successfully achieving deadlines and targets through effective project management skills

? Ability to take and produce accurate complex minutes.
