Job Title: Design Manager
Salary: 70,000 to 80,000 (dependent on experience)

About the Role:
Our client is seeking a highly skilled Design Manager to join their London office. Reporting to the Technical Director, you will oversee the design phases of a portfolio of projects in the UK and Bahrain. Your role will involve ensuring cost-effective, technically compliant, and buildable solutions while managing stakeholder requirements, driving efficiency, and delivering designs that meet project timelines, quality standards, and sustainability goals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead multi-disciplinary design management.
- Ensure designs align with project scope, budget, and regulatory requirements.
- Oversee the coordination of engineering disciplines.
- Implement and manage CDM regulations and Health & Safety protocols.
- Collaborate with dispersed teams and key stakeholders to ensure smooth project delivery.
- Provide technical leadership and strategic direction throughout the project lifecycle.
What Our Client is Looking For:
Essential:
- Extensive experience in multi-disciplinary design management.
- Degree in an engineering-related discipline.
- Chartered Engineer status in a relevant field.
- APM Project Fundamentals Qualification.
- Strong knowledge of CDM regulations and construction Health & Safety.
- Proven experience managing large-scale projects with multi-disciplinary teams.
- Strategic, operational, and technical management expertise.
- Knowledge of water treatment processes, including civil and MEICA engineering aspects.
Desirable:
- Working towards or holding an APM Project Management Qualification.
- Experience in the water/wastewater treatment industry.
- Familiarity with BIM procedures and techniques.
- Collaborative and innovative working mindset.
