Marketing Coordinator | Aldgate/Whitechapel, London | Full Time | £26,000 to £34,000 depending on experience

Ubiquity is more than a publisher – we're also engineering new technology that will change and improve the future of research communications worldwide. We're a dynamic and idealistic company and can offer the combined excitement and advantages of working on difference-making and ethical products in open science, and of working for a rapidly-growing company.

We have a wide focus: from supporting open access university publishing and infrastructure, including research data and software, to solutions for the developing world. Headquartered in London, with a distributed workforce in North America and Europe, Ubiquity offers an open and supportive environment where staff are encouraged to grow and develop. We are part of the Paradigm Publishing Services arm of De Gruyter Brill.

We're looking for a Marketing Coordinator who is passionate, outgoing and has a bias for action! In this role, you will support the marketing needs of the Ubiquity brand and our customers and will coordinate with the Paradigm office in Boston on larger campaigns and cross-organization marketing efforts.

What can Ubiquity Press give to you?

  • Opportunity to work remotely for the right candidate.
  • A supportive working environment where you will be encouraged to grow your skills and expand your role.

Are you the right person for us?

  • Strong communication and Google/Microsoft suite skills.
  • Working knowledge of customer relationship management (CRM) and content management system (CMS) platforms (a plus!).
  • If you understand the academic, Open Access or Open Science landscapes that would be ideal, and even more so if you are experienced in academic publishing, libraries or research environments. (a plus!).
  • Project management experience is a plus and the person should be highly collaborative as they will need to work across a group of colleagues.
  • Receives a strong level of guidance and direction from direct manager plus others in the team and can take initiative and work independently when required.

What will your role as a Marketing Coordinator look like?

  • Manage and organize effective marketing channels (mailings, community portal, social media) to maximize outreach for Ubiquity.
  • Design and implement key marketing campaigns for Ubiquity products. This will be coordinated with the Paradigm Boston office for larger international campaigns and a more hands-on approach for local and smaller campaigns.
  • Conduct analysis to determine the effectiveness of each marketing campaign.
  • Identify and manage attendance and sponsorship for academic conferences to promote our products/brand. This will involve coordination with the Paradigm Boston office for larger international events and a more hands-on approach for local events.
