Your new companyI am working with a Royal College, and we are looking for an experienced Research Analyst to join the team as soon as possible. Working in a small team of three, you will be line managing the Analyst to deliver qualitative and quantitative analytical work to support the wider policy function within the organisation. You will also be building the analytical capacity of the academy to build a new function that will focus on analysis and assisting the wider organisation. This would be a great position for someone who is passionate about research and analysis, who is able to connect the dots and come up with creative ideas and solutions.

Your new roleThis successful candidate will:

  • Research, evaluate and interpret different policy issues, using both quantitative and qualitative research methods, identifying gaps and trends to support the delivery of projects.
  • Identify and initiate new opportunities to deploy quant and qual analysis to strengthen policy advice.
  • Communicate evidence and analysis orally, visually and in writing in a clear, concise and creative manner. Suitable for stakeholders from a non-technical background.
  • Develop cross-team relationships across the organisation.
  • Build and maintain an effective network of contacts with key partners and stakeholders.
  • Manage the team's budget.
  • Line manage an Analyst.

What you'll need to succeedThis position is ideal for someone who has:

  • Experience within a relevant field, such as statistics, social research, professional analysis, economics or equivalent.
  • Experience of working with and understanding challenges for policymakers and key stakeholders.
  • Knowledge of qualitative and qualitative research and evaluation methods.
  • Knowledge of statistical analysis and third-party data sources.
  • People management experience (desirable).
